The ME Vision (2026–2050) outlines a quarter-century framework aimed at local transformation and global sustainability. Grounded in collective action, the initiative unites regional development in Tripura with broader national priorities across India and global sustainable development goals.
A 25-Year Strategic Programme for Tripura, India, and Beyond.
The ME Programme (2026–2050) outlines are
Partnering with international climate funds, multilateral development agencies, and national green investments to finance long-term nature, conservation, sustainable business and infrastructure projects.
Aligning state initiatives in Tripura with national frameworks ("Act East" policy, Viksit Bharat) to scale impact across Northeastern India and beyond.
Setting 5-year interim targets across ICT adoption, wetland protection, disaster readiness, and sustainable economic output.
ME is managing above 100 acres (41 hectres) project with its own limited fund and hardship since 2018 to till now. It's a ME's own project and trying to finding collaborative partner. It's comprised two part one is hills (88 acres- 36 hectres) and another part is wetland (12 acres 5 hectres). Some part is using for ecotourism (5 acres- 2 hectres).
The project seeks to conserve and restore priority wetlands and surrounding habitats, establish biodiversity and water-quality monitoring, strengthen community participation, promote conservation-compatible livelihoods, and develop a long-term conservation management and sustainability system. The programme will use a community-based, science-informed and adaptive approach, recognizing that lasting conservation requires local stewardship, ecological monitoring, responsible resource use and meaningful participation of women and youth.
To conserve the biodiversity and wetland ecosystem of Nirvana Estate while strengthening community (DMAs) stewardship, ecological resilience and sustainable livelihood opportunities.
ME expects to have established a verified ecological and socio-economic baseline; identified and improved management of priority wetland and habitat areas; operationalized biodiversity and water-quality monitoring; trained local conservation volunteers; increased participation of women and youth; implemented environmental education and selected livelihood initiatives; and developed a site-level conservation management and sustainability plan. Lessons will be documented for potential replication elsewhere in Tripura.
